Throughout Illinois, the first steps to determine the 2023-2024 State Wrestling Champion at 14 different weights in 1A, 2A and 3A classes began with Regionals.

February 2 saw a slew of wrestlers taking their first steps at a coveted Championship.

Each Class featured 16-regional sites, a total of 48 Regionals throughout the state. The following week would see qualifying wrestlers advance to four sectional sites in each class. Those fortunate and talented enough to earn a top four finish at the sectional will advance to Champaign to determine the states best.
